Planning a trip to Ellis Island?
If you are among the 40% of Americans who can trace an ancestor through Ellis Island, set aside time to visit the American Family Immigration History Center (located on the Museum’s 1st floor).
The history center is home to the Ellis Island Passenger Database, a resource of 65 million records documenting arrivals to the Port of NY from 1820 to 1957.
To make the most of your research session, we suggest downloading and completing this PREP SHEET prior to your visit.
You can also access the database for free anytime through the Foundation’s website. Click HERE for more information.
